Leaders in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are considering the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu should meet with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. The party leadership is taking the step as the 2023 general campaign season draws closer.
The camp of Governor Wike in its demand to support the party in the forthcoming election had requested for the party National Chairman, Ayu to resign from office.
The move was, however, truncated after members of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) passed a vote of confidence on Ayu.
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the increase of the budget of social investment scheme, Npower, by N365 Billion. Naija News reports that the Buhari-led government announced the increment in a post via his official Twitter handle @MBuhari on Friday.
Buhari disclosed this while discussing deliberate actions taken to expand the nation’s fiscal budget for 2021.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Saraki said the committee sought Jonathan’s counsel on how to go about strengthening the party, by reconciling aggrieved members.
He said: “Jonathan gave us his views and we are very happy. He reassured all of us of his commitment to the PDP and he told us that he is still ready to offer his time, experience and resources to strengthen the party.
