The kingdom of Belgium has approved €5m annually to help in the redevelopment of areas in the North-East of Nigeria affected by Boko Haram insurgency. Daniel Bertrand, the Ambassador of Belgium to Nigeria made this known in Abuja on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to Mohammed Alkali, the Managing Director of the North East Development Commission (NEDC). He said: “We’re not indifferent to what is happening in the North-East part of the country, especially from the humanitarian point of view, we are at the disposal of the Nigerian authorities to do better.
