Lagos State has announced that bodies recovered from the collapsed Ikoyi building are now ready for identification. The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, revealed this to newsmen at the site of the collapsed building. He stated that the bodies were made available in the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), Yaba and an autopsy will be carried out on them before releasing them to their families. The commissioner said: “The autopsy is important because the law says that whenever there is death, as a result of such incidents like the collapsed building, an autopsy must be done before the body is released.
